Recalled 2016 and 2017 Suburu Legacy and Outback Cars Could Lose Control
A recent CBS News report revealed that Suburu is recalling certain 2016 and 2017 Legacy and Outback vehicles over concerns that the steering could fail and they could lose control. According to the report, Suburu advises owners not to drive them out of concern for their safety. It also has told dealers to stop selling these vehicles until they’re repaired.
The report says that Suburu disclosed in government documents that steering columns may have been manufactured improperly by a parts supplier. The defect means that the steering wheel could rotate freely and the driver could lose control.
Suburu will likely replace these defective parts free of charge. If your vehicle was recalled, get it fixed as soon as possible.
